The Visa Solutions Australia’s annual conference was held from the 1st of October to the 4th of October in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As with previous conferences, this year’s event gave the VSA team the opportunity to come together, reflect on the previous year, and plan for the years ahead.
Visa Solutions’ staff from Australia, Philippines and Vietnam attended the four-day event along with and their families and a special guest, Kristian Stratton of Australian Industry Group.
The four-day event featured a combination of business strategy, team building, and problem solving. VSA’s Managing Director, Dan Engles emphasised that the expectation of the annual gathering was to engage, interact and collaborate, and be open with ideas.
The conference component itself was spread over two days and centred around the theme, Shaping Tomorrow’s Success. This is Visa Solutions’ Vision for 2026 with a focus on planning for the next 3 – 5 years and taking bold steps towards 2030.
Team members and guests had the opportunity to present to the group and participate in training sessions. Presenters focused on topics that were relevant to the migration industry and the effective running of Visa Solutions Australia, ensuring their service standards remain second to none. Embracing technological changes and introducing new services to ensure Visa Solutions remains a leader in Australian immigration services were also a focus of the presentations.
Special guest Dr Miles Upfold addressed the team on healthy habits and how living healthier and more positively can benefit everyone professionally and in their personal lives.
As with any annual conference, the content covered was invaluable, providing meaningful insights and plenty to reflect on.
In addition to the business side of the conference, team members participated in shared activities and team building challenges designed to help maintain engagement, encourage effective work habits and create shared memories of their time in Kuala Lumpur.
The evenings were spent dining together. Each night the team along with their families dined at a different restaurant and had the opportunity to socialise and strengthen their relationships as they shared a meal together.
A Bit of Fun
Team building is a crucial component of the Visa Solutions annual gathering. This year, the team participated in a KL Photo Hunt. By splitting up into small teams, everyone had the opportunity to explore Kuala Lumpur and create memories together. This was not only a fun activity but also an opportunity for the team to connect and collaborate in a relaxed, non-work environment.
