The Training Visa

The training visa is a short stay visa allowing people to take part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve their job skills, tertiary study or professional development and training in Australia.

There are three types of occupational training covered by the training visa, they are:

  • Occupational training required for registration
  • Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation
  • Occupational training for capacity building overseas.

Nomination requirements for each of these differ. Visa Solutions’ highly experienced registered migration agents will work with you to ensure all nomination requirements are met.

 

Who can apply?

In order to apply for this visa, you must:

  • Be sponsored
  • Be nominated (unless your sponsor is a Commonwealth Government agency)
  • Be invited (if your sponsor is a Commonwealth Government agency)

Can I include family on my application?

Family can be included on your visa application.

Do I need to be in Australia?

You can be onshore or offshore when applying for this visa and while waiting for a decision.
