Living in Perth truly provides one of the best lifestyles available anywhere in the world.  We have so much space to enjoy, magnificent beaches and a standard of living which is second to none.

For those lucky enough to live in Perth, you may have noticed that over the past couple of weeks the State Election has ramped up and we are being inundated with all sorts of materials seeking to win our vote for the parties that are either left or right of the centre political stage.  My mailbox certainly knows that something is happening as the normal junk mail has been relegated to the side of the gate as the election promotional materials from the various political parties takes up most of the space (although admittedly we have an old style letterbox that is quite small).

I even had the pleasure of meeting one of my local candidates and we had a great conversation. I found out that he was the current sitting Mayor for our local council and that he has a passion for planning; brilliant as I think that someone should be focused on the long-term growth in our community.  Interestingly enough, from the one conversation I think he may have won me over, as I feel that I now have a connection with him.

State Government elections aside, there is quite a bit happening within Visa Solutions.  We are busy preparing our CBD office and recruiting a new team member to grow our business.  Our representative in Vietnam is now established and there will be a formal opening of that office soon; and we are about to launch our brand in the nation’s capital; Canberra!

After my days as an Economist in the nation’s capital, it is nice to be returning.

Finally for those of you into new music, there is a new album on the way from local Indie band, Wooly Mammoth; if you get some time, check them out at https://www.triplejunearthed.com/artist/wooly-mammoth-0

Love supporting local musicians!

Best,

Dan
