Skilled Work Regional Visa vs Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa
Regional migration offers overseas workers
The Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa (Subclass 494) enables regional employers to address labour shortages within their region by sponsoring skilled workers where skilled Australian workers can’t be sourced.
There are three streams that make up the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) Visa. These are:
The Employer Sponsored Stream is open to skilled workers who are sponsored by an employer while the Labour Agreement Stream is open to skilled workers who are nominated by an employer with a labour agreement. The Subsequent Entrant Stream is for family members of a Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa holder who wants to apply for their own SESR visa and wishes to join the primary Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Visa holder in Australia.
You may include family members on your SESR visa application.
When applying for a Skilled Employer Nominated Regional Visa, you may be in or outside Australia.
